Pikaware was founded with one goal in mind: to bring attention to species that are jeopardized by our changing planet. After learning about the American pika during my freshman year at Northeastern University, I realized that it would be the quintessential animal to raise awareness for endangered animals that don't get enough attention in popular media. While they are well-studied by climate scientists due to their sensitivity to temperature changes, they are seemingly unknown in everyday culture.
